International Business Machines promotes transparent development in enterprise AI

At the technology summit, IBM's Cox presented a persuasive argument for open innovation in business generative AI. The executive, Vice President of machine learning frameworks and director at the joint MIT and IBM artificial intelligence laboratory, stressed the importance of openness in tech progress, especially in the present artificial intelligence ecosystem.
The IBM executive emphasized the multifaceted essence of accessibility in AI, challenging the binary view of the idea. He noted the expanding network of accessible frameworks from diverse origins, including technology corporations, academic institutions, and countries.
Nevertheless, he expressed concerns about the quality of accessibility in various AI language systems, observing that certain models offer barely more than a collection of data points without transparency in their creation techniques.
